Medicare Part D Enrollment Begins November 15

Medicare Part D Enrollment Begins November 15

Open enrollment for Medicare’s prescription drug plans will be held November 15 through December 31, 2006.

For those who enrolled last year and want to keep their same plan, no action is necessary (provided your current plan is being offered in 2007).

However, before you decide to stick with your current plan, Medicare recommends evaluating the following:

  • Will costs associated with your plan (premiums, copays, etc.) change in 2007?
  • Will your medications be covered under your current plan in 2007?
  • Did you encounter the "doughnut hole" in 2006? If so, do you need to consider a plan for 2007 that provides coverage through the gap?
  • Were you pleased with the level of service you received from your provider?

If you have any questions, call Medicare at 1-800-MEDICARE or visit their website at www.Medicare.gov.
